NUFC: Nile Ranger neće igrati jer je sa England U-21, Kazenga LuaLua pod velikim znakom pitanja zbog povrede. Obafemi Martins trenira, ali ne punom jačinom i teško da će nastupati.
Geremi, Xisco, Jonas Gutierrez i Sebastien Bassong su se vratili sa produženog odmora, treniraju sa ekipom i možda će neko od njih i zaigrati protiv Darlo-a. Andy Carroll se vraća u tim posle povrede i očekujemo da odigra makar jedno poluvreme.
Posle primoranog otkazivanja meča sa Utrecht-om od strane FA Engleske, Newcastle United je uspeo da ugovori meč sa Leyton Orient-om. Medjutim, i taj meč ima negativnu pozadinu, jer je Leyton Orient otkazao svoj meč sa Luton-om, kako bi igrao sa Newcastle United-om. Naravno da su iz Luton-a besni na Leyton Orient, ali to nije naš problem. Mi ih imamo isuviše.
Meč sa Leyton Orient-om igra se u subotu 25. jula u 3pm(GMT), na Matchroom Stadium-u, aka Brisbane Road, naravno u Londonu.
Newcastle United
were advised today (13 July) by the Football Association that it has
withdraw its permission for Newcastle to play their pre-season fixture
with Utrecht on 26 July.
The FA released the following statement on their website this evening:
Following conversations with the KNVB and the Mayor of
Amsterdam's office, The FA has reluctantly withdrawn permission for
Newcastle United to play a friendly with Utrecht on Sunday 26 July.
Sunderland
had applied for permission to participate in the Amsterdam tournament,
with matches on 24 and 26 July, while Newcastle applied to play Utrecht
on 26 July. After liaising with the KNVB and the UK and Dutch Police,
permission was given to both clubs with assurances made to The FA that
there were no objections to both teams playing in Holland at the same
time.
Following concerns raised by the Mayor of Amsterdam, it
became clear that only one of the two teams would be able to travel to
Holland and The FA actively sought to resolve the situation.
Priority
was given to Sunderland for three reasons; their application to play
was received first, tickets have already been sold to their supporters,
and travel arrangements have already been made. Newcastle United have
not yet sold any tickets to their supporters.
Newcastle United wish to place on record that they are
extremely disappointed by this decision, especially given the fact that
on 30 June 2009, the Football Association had approved their
application to play in Utrecht, this following discussions with the
Dutch FA, Dutch Police, and our own UK Football Policing Unit.
The Club now finds itself with its pre-season programme of
games disrupted and in the unenviable position of trying to organise
another game over that weekend in a very short space of time.
It should be noted also that Newcastle United had already
organised flights and hotel accommodation for its travelling party for
the game in Holland.
Newcastle United would like to apologise to its supporters for
this situation, particularly those that may have already made travel
arrangements, however it is clearly a matter that is completely out of
its own control.

U prvom delu igre nije bilo golova, medjutim svoj gol u uvodnim sekundama igre morao je da spasava Harper.
U nastavku prvog poluvremena prilike za Newcastle United imali su Beye, Nilan i Duff.

U nastavku Hughton menja ceo tim i na teren izvodi sledećih XI: Krul, R.Taylor, Enrique, S.Taylor, Tozer, Guthrie, LuaLua (Ranger 88), Danquah, Donaldson, Smith, Ameobi.
Ovoj postavi je trebalo čitavih pet minuta da dodje do vodjstva. Sjajno je na šest metara reagovao Steven Taylor, za 0:1, proslavljajući gol sa gostujućim sektorom(gostujući sektor u narandžastim kabanicama za kišu).
Pavol Jurco, igrač Shamrock-a je promašio prazan gol, posle greške Krul-a na jednu povratnu loptu Ryan Taylor-a. Jurco je pogodio stativu, gotovo iz mrtvog ugla.
U 87. minutu Shola Ameobi duplira prednost Newcastle-a na 0:2, levom nogom. Lopta se na putu do gola odbila od jednog igrača u zeleno-belom dresu i završla pod prečkom u mreži.
Zanimljivo je da je Nile Ranger igrao u prvom poluvremenu, ali se u igru potpuno suprotno pravilima vratio umesto Kazenga Lua-Lua-e. Upravo je Nile Ranger postigao konačan rezulta od 0:3 u 89. minutu.
