U zanimljivoj fudbalskoj predstavi na Selhurst Parku, Crystal Palace i Newcastle United remizirali su rezultatom 1:1.

Strelac za Orlove bio je Christian Benteke u 56. minutu utakmice, dok je gol za Svrake postigao Callum Wilson u 65. minutu utakmice.

Crystal Palace je dominirao tokom celog meča. Christian Benteke je terorisao odbranu Newcastle Uniteda, dok je mladi Olise 66. minuta terorisao Ritchiea po desnom boku, da bi rezervista Zaha samo nastavio teror nad bespomoćnim i sporim Ritchiem.

Domaći su već posle dvadesetak sekundi igre mogli da dođu u vođstvo ali se na petercu gostiju nije najbolje snašao Benteke.

Posle petnaestak minuta igre Svrake imaju priliku preko Wilsona ali je njegov udarac sa tri metra završio u spoljni deo mreže gola domaćih.

Pet minuta kasnije Benteke posle udarca glavom sa pet metara drma stativu gostujućeg gola. U nastavku akcije Darlow brani udarac Mitchellu.

U drugom poluvremenu ista slika. Palace napada, Newcastle se brani. Već posle pet minuta igre na centaršut sa desnog boka, Benteke hvata makazice sa strane ali lopta odlazi preko prečke gostujućeg gola.

Igrao se 56. minutu utakmice kada je lopta nekako stigla na levi bok do Mitchella. Usledio je solidan centaršut na peterac gostiju gde je Christian Benteke prosto oduvao Clarka i glavom smestio loptu u gostujužu mrežu za 1:0. Potpuno zasluženo.

Sedam minuta kasnije Olise sa desnog boka centrira na peterac gostiju gde Benteke upućuje udarac glavom, ali lopta od gornjeg dela prečke završava u gol-autu.

U 65. minutu utakmice korner za Newcastle United kojeg je izveo Ritchie. Lopta nekako stiže do Kraftha koji je nehotice glavom dodaje do Calluma Wilsona. Naša devetka hvata makazice preko glave i lopta završava u gornjem desnom uglu gola golmana domaćih Guaite za 1:1. Uf, kakvo slavlje gotovo 3.000 Toon Army na Selhurst Parku, kao i Amande Staveley u loži.

U 72. minutu utakmice Benteke levom nogom upućuje udarac sa šest metara ali samo u spoljni deo mreže gola Newcastle Uniteda.

Igrao se 87. minut utakmice kada je posle jednog kornera Christian Benteke sa pet metara zatresao gostujuću mrežu. Međutim, glavni sudija meča Darren England je gledao VAR gde je jasno video da je Guehi povukao Clarka za ruku baš ispred Bentekea i gol je opravdano poništen, tako da je Newcastle United odneo veoma važan bod sa Selhurst Parka.

Posle devet kola imamo svega četiri boda ali bitno je da ovaj meč nismo izgubili. Naravno da smo u zoni ispadanja sa tri boda manje od mesta koje garantuje igranje u Premier League i naredne sezone.

Fitness level nam je katastrofalan. Danas je nekoliko igrača u timu bilo na nivou Championshipa pre svih Ritchie, Hayden, Longstaff, pa i Saint-Maximin.

Sledećeg vikenda dočekujemo Chelsea koji je nabio Norwich City rezultatom 7:0.

The hostility among Premier League clubs to the Newcastle United takeover was underlined on Monday when they voted through legislation designed to prevent the Saudi owners from striking lucrative sponsorship deals.

Newcastle made it clear at the emergency meeting of all 20 clubs that they considered the rule change, which will temporarily ban commercial arrangements that involve pre-existing business relationships, to be anti-competitive.

They were represented by Lee Charnley, the incumbent managing director, rather than Amanda Staveley, the director and minority stakeholder, who is now responsible for running the club on a day-to-day basis. Charnley is understood to have made it clear that his club had legal advice to say that the amendment was unlawful.

But the clubs pressed on with the vote and it was passed 18-2. Standing in opposition with Newcastle were Manchester City, whose Abu Dhabi-based owners have benefited in the past from what are known as related party transactions. An example was the deal that saw Etihad Airways, the Abu Dhabi-government owned carrier, sponsor them.

Many of the clubs in the Premier League are worried that Newcastle’s Saudi owners might conclude deals in the oil-rich Kingdom which could give them an advantage. The clubs want pre-emptive measures to be put in place that would either prevent this or ensure that fair market value was paid.

The rule will be in force for the next month – and it will apply to all 20 clubs – but many of them want it or something similar to become a permanent feature. A working party is to be set up – comprising a cross-section of clubs – to investigate what, if any, changes should be made. Newcastle have been asked whether they would like to be on it.

The league was already looking into such issues and they remain involved in a long-running investigation into whether City have breached financial fair play regulations. City have denied any wrongdoing.

Following the Newcastle takeover, the 19 other clubs demanded a special meeting with the league, wanting to understand why the deal had been signed off. That meeting took place last Tuesday, with some clubs attending in person at the league’s Paddington HQ and others dialling in via conferencing software.

Straight after it, the 19 clubs met on their own to discuss the financial implications of having the Saudis as competitors. It led to the draft of the temporary ban on related party transactions – Newcastle would be notified of this – and then to Monday’s meeting.

Karnevalska atmosfera pre početka utakmice viđena je na prepunom St James' Parku. Navijači okupljeni oko "Wor Flags" su na Gallowgate tribini napravili prelepu koreografiju (crno-beli zid) sa stihovima iz pesme Big River - 'Cause this is a mighty town, built upon solid ground, and everything they’ve tried so hard to kill, we will rebuild. Mnogo navijača na stadionu je nosilo Saudijske marame.

Novi vlasnici su predstavljeni u svečanoj loži. Ovacije je dobio predstavnik PIF-a Yasir Al-Rumayyan, zatim Amanda Staveley i njen suprug Mehrdad Ghodoussi ali i novi direktor kluba mladi James Reuben. Osmesi su sevali sa svih strana.

Newcastle United je poveo već posle dva minuta igre. Na desnom boku su kombinovali Allan Saint Maximin, koji je dodao do Manquilla. Ovaj je uputio odličan centaršut na peterac gostiju gde je uleteo Callum Wilson, koji glavom trese gostujuću mrežu, za 1:0. Osmesi, grljenja, navijači u delirijumu, svečana loža u neverici... vodimo 1:0, nova era je počela!!!

Međutim, sve je to bilo kratkog daha. Već u 17. minutu utakmice Tanguy Ndombele rezantnim udarcem desnom nogom sa petnaestak metara trese mrežu Darlowa za 1:1. Ndombele je imao sve vreme ovog sveta da se namesti na udarac. Bloka nije bilo nigde i mreža domaćih se zatresla.

Nije se dugo čekalo na drugi gol gostiju. Samo pet minuta kasnije Harry Kane vešto izbegava ofsajd zamku i lob udarcem desnom nogom spoljnim delom stopala prebacuje istrčalog Darlowa za 1:2. Gledao se VAR ali pomoći nije bilo. Manquillo je zakasnio da izađe.

Na 1:3 mogao je da povisi Lucas Moura koji je posle jednog kornera uputio udarac glavom, ali lopta je pogodila prečku domaćeg gola i otišla u gol aut.

U 45. minutu utakmice igra je morala biti zaustavljena na petnaestak minuta jer je jednom navijaču na East Standu pozlilo. Gostujući igrači Reguilon i Dier su uočili nešto neobično na tribini, ukazali na to Marrineru koji je brzo pozvao lekarsku ekipu. Usledila je reanimacija na tribini. Srećom, bolnica je na dva minuta od St James' Parka i kasnije vesti koje su stigle do stadiona su da je navijač dobro i stabilno.

Igralo se sedam minuta sudijske nadoknade i u četvrtom minutu sudijske nadoknade Harry Kane asistira Heung-Min Sonu, koji sa četiri metara levom nogom trese mrežu domaćih za 1:3.

U petom minutu nadoknade Saint-Maximin je mogao da smanji rezultat ali je lopta posle njegovog udaraca desnom nogom sa osamnaest metara je odletela pored protivničkog gola, tako da su Spursi na odmor otišli sa prednošću od 1:3.

U drugom poluvremenu poluuspavanka.

Tottenham je igrao koliko mu je trebalo. Činilo se da će pre oni doći do četvrtog gola nego Newcastle United do drugog. Ndombele je konstatno pretio i bio nerešiva enigma domaćim igračima. Upravo je Ndombele imao odličan udarac posle sat vremena igre ali lopta je fijuknula preko prečke Darlowovog gola.

Jonjo Shelvey je u 60. minutu igre ušao umesto Sean Longstaffa.

Desetak minuta pre kraja utakmice Shelvey dobija žuti karton zbog šutiranja sa leđa Ndombelea. U 83. minutu Shelvey pred svojim šesnaestercem ruši Reguilona i dobija drugi žuti, odnosno crveni karton. Psiho bez mozga. U glavi promaja.

Igrao se 89. minut utakmice, Jacob Murphy je izveo slobodan udarac sa desnog boka ubacivši loptu na peterac gostiju. Tamo se Eric Dier zbunio, kolenom zahvatio loptu koja je završila u mreži njegovog gola za 2:3. Kakva-takva nade za Svrake da mogu da stignu makar do remija.

Glavni sudija meča Andre Marriner je pokazao da će meč biti produžen za četiri minuta. Međutim, u ta četiri minuta igrači u crno-belom nisu pipnuli loptu, dok je Joelinton napravio dva glupa prekršaja i vreme je iscurelo.

The Premier League, Newcastle United Football Club and St James Holdings Limited have today settled the dispute over the takeover of the club by the consortium of PIF, PCP Capital Partners and RB Sports & Media.

Following the completion of the Premier League's Owners' and Directors' Test, the club has been sold to the consortium with immediate effect.

The legal disputes concerned which entities would own and/or have the ability to control the club following the takeover.

All parties have agreed the settlement is necessary to end the long uncertainty for fans over the club’s ownership.

The Premier League has now received legally binding assurances that the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia will not control Newcastle United Football Club.

All parties are pleased to have concluded this process which gives certainty and clarity to Newcastle United Football Club and their fans.

An investment group led by the Public Investment Fund (PIF), and also comprising PCP Capital Partners and RB Sports & Media (the “Investment Group”), has completed the acquisition of 100% of Newcastle United Limited and Newcastle United Football Club Limited (“Newcastle United” or the “Club”) from St. James Holdings Limited.

All requisite approvals have been obtained from the English Premier League and the acquisition was completed on 7 October 2021.

The Investment Group is comprised of long-term, patient investors who have every confidence in the future success of the Club.
