Osam dana je Mike Ashley tragao za mogućim kupcem "njegovog" Newcastle United-a. Nije ga našao, ali se odlučio za još smešniji, samim tim i tužniji korak, tražeći kupca preko zvaničnog site-a, ostavljajući i e-mail adresu. Totalni cirkus od kluba !!!

Subotnje izdanja štampanih i elektronskih medija u Engleskoj, donela su nam priče, da je Newcaste United sve bliži prodaji. Naime, vlasnik Newcastle-a, Mike Ashley je u pregovorima sa grupom investitora upravo iz grada Newcastle-a.

Niti jedno ime nije spominjano, ali mediji nagadjaju, da je upravo bivši Chairman Newcastle United-a, Freddy Shepherd, jedan od ljudi koji želi da kupi klub. Nadamo se da to nije istina, jer on je već bio na čelu kluba, imao je svoju šansu i nije je iskoristio.

Cena Newcastle United-a je sada bliža cifri od 80. miliona funti, nego 100. miliona funti !!!

Protekle nedelje spominjano je još jedno ime vezano za kupovinu, a ono je Qaboos bin Said, Sultan zalivske države Oman.

Više vesti očekujmo možda već sutra, ali i sledeće nedelje(u ponedeljak), kada se Alan Shearer bude vratio sa svog kratkog odmora iz Portugala. Nadamo se da će upravo Alan Shearer biti novi manager Newcastle United-a na duže staze.

Kako piše The Sunday Times, Mike Ashley je spreman da Newcastle United ponovo stavi na prodaju. Ovoga puta, cena je oko 100. miliona funti. To je za svih 34. miliona funti manje od onoga koliko je Ashley platio za kupovinu Newcastle United-a, pre dve godine. Od tada, Ashley je navodno uložio još 110. miliona funti svog novca u klub, ali je i pored toga Newcastle United ispao.

Ashley: "To je katastrofa za svakoga. Izgubio sam svoj novac i pravio katastrofalne greške. Sada, ja želim da prodam klub što je pre moguće" .

Što se tiče pregovora oko mogućeg nastavka saradnje sa Alan Shearer-om, svi pregovori su stopirani. Kako pišu pojedini mediji, Shearer je čak spreman da povuče svoju kandidaturu za mesto manager-a. Videćemo šta će se dalje dešavati.

Seeing Newcastle United relegated from the Premier League has been a catastrophe for us all.

I fully accept that mistakes were made during this and previous seasons and I am very sorry for that.

I would like to say sorry to our magnificent supporters who have turned up in their thousands, home and away, up and down the country and who have given the team amazing backing throughout.

And I would also say sorry to all of the Club's hard-working staff, who have gone about their jobs all year long.

Bringing Alan Shearer back to Newcastle United was the best decision I have made. Alan and his staff did all they could to try and keep us up in the short space of time they had.

Talks are now ongoing between us about how we can take this Club forward again.
