Pred kraj meča sudija Robert Jones je malo "navlačio" za domaćina svirajući za njih nepostojeće prekršaje i igranja rukom od strane igrača Newcastle Uniteda ali je ipak oprostio drugi žuti odnosni crveni karton Malicku Thiawu.
Poslednju priliku na meču imao je Justin Kluivert upravo iz tog slobodnog udarca kojeg je Jones izmislio zbog navodnog igranja rukom Barnesa, kada je Kluivert dobro šutirao po zemlji ali mu je Nick Pope odbranio udarac.

Meč ništa posebno bez nekog tempa sa obe strane. Razumljivo je, Newcastle United je u četvrtak igrao u Ligi Šampiona protiv Barcelone.
Posle 5 kola imamo samo jedan poraz, tri remija 0:0 na gostovanjima i jednu pobedu kod kuće. Na našem kontu imamo 6 bodova i nalazimo se na 13. mestu na tabeli Premier League.
Već u sredu u okviru Carabao Cupa kojeg smo prošle sezone osvojili, igramo protiv Bradford Citya na našem St James' Parku.
