Newcastle United can confirm that Alan Thompson has left his role with the club by mutual consent.

Alan served Newcastle United exceptionally well as Academy Coach during the 2008/09 season, and as Reserve Team Coach last season. The club would like to thank Alan for his commitment to player development and coaching during his time at Newcastle.

Newcastle United wish him every success in his future career.
