U kratkom saopštenju koje je objavljeno na nufc.co.uk, kaže se da je vice-president(za dovodjenje igrača) kluba Toni Jimenez napustio klub:

"Newcastle United can today (October 9) confirm that Tony Jimenez has left the Club.
Tony, who was appointed Vice-President (Player Recruitment) in January, has made the decision in order to pursue other interests.
Newcastle United thanks Tony for all of his hard work and efforts and wishes him every success in the future".

Da podsetimo, Tony Jimenez je bio jedan od razloga zbog kojih je Kevin Keegan napustio Newcastle United.Pored Mike Ashley-a, Dennis Wise-a, Derek Llambias-a, Tony Jimenez je bio deo udarne četvorke koja je sprečavala Kevin Keegan-a u dovodjenju igrača kojih je on želeo i jedan od zagovornika prodaje Michael Owen-a u letnjem prelaznom roku.
